<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly convenient image recording device wherein the temperature of a fixation heater is controlled while keeping the maximum power consumption of the device nearly constant, irrespective of the voltage fluctuation of an external power source, and then, a printing operation can be performed without a difficulty. <P>SOLUTION: The image recording device is provided with an energizing limit ratio calculating means for calculating an energizing limit ratio so that the power consumption of the fixation heater may become equal to or below an allowable fixation heater power consumption value when the ON period of the fixation heater control signal is reduced at the energizing limit ratio based on the external power supply voltage and the previously set allowable fixation heater power consumption value, and a fixation heater power consumption control means for reducing the ON period of the fixation heater control signal at the calculated energizing limit ratio. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
