The vehicle seat is designed with the back of the backrest part (2) and the underneath of the seat surface (3) each formed as bed sections (4) so that when an actuating kinematics (5) between the backrest and seat surface is actuated the backrest and seat rotate so that the bed sections are directed up to form a common plane for a bed surface.
