The switching flap (4) either opens or closes a gas-leading channel (3). The switching flap (4) is operated by a double armature (10) connected to a bistable solenoid (12), which leads to extremely fast switching times. In order to use the bistable solenoid (12), the switching flap (4) is mounted on a torsion spring (7), which stores the necessary force to reset the switching flap (4). The double armature (10) benefits from not having any unbalanced weight and in combination with the bistable solenoid (12) boasts an extremely strong torque.
