PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner or the like for forming a highly sharp and high quality image at high image density by having proper hot offset resistance and superior low-temperature fixing. SOLUTION: The toner is obtained to remove part of two or more resin particles in a form of particles by a basic solution, while generating an adhesive base substance by reacting an active hydrogen group compound and a polymer capable of reacting with the active hydrogen group compound in a water-based medium containing the two or more resin particles. It is preferable that a part of the two or more resin particles, removed by the basic solution, be the resin particles, excluding at least one from among two or more resin particles.
