FIELD: rolled stock production. ^ SUBSTANCE: process comprises steps of heating metal in heating furnace of hot rolling mill; rolling metal in line of said mill. Metal is heated at transporting it through furnace for minimum time period calculated depending upon temperature of charge and predetermined temperature of rolled piece after rough group of stands of rolling mill with use of mathematical expression. Metal is rolled in line of rolling mill at using heat-accumulation screens and at guiding rate 5 -15 m/s of rolled strip in coiler. ^ EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, lowered specific consumption of comparison fuel.
