PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an organic solvent-gelled material containing a diacetylene compound oriented in one direction. SOLUTION: This method for producing the organic solvent-gelled material containing the diacetylene compound oriented in one direction is provided by impressing a magnetic field in one direction to the organic solvent on gelling the organic solvent containing the diacetylene compound which contains diacetylene group and has a function of gelling the organic solvent by taking the organic solvent into it.
