LINEAR COMPRESSOR FOR REDUCING THE MATERIAL COST BY MAKING A SUPPORT MEMBER FROM RESIN CHEAPER THAN ALUMINUM COMPRISING A CYLINDER MEMBER

PURPOSE: A linear compressor is provided to facilitate production process by molding a support member combined with a cylinder member to support a driving unit from resin such as plastic. CONSTITUTION: A linear compressor is composed of a driving unit for generating power; a compression chamber(21a) in which a piston advances and retreats and compresses refrigerant by receiving the power from the driving unit; and a support member(22) for holding the driving unit and the cylinder member forming the compression chamber. The support member is molded from resin and then assembled and joined to the cylinder member. The cylinder member comprises a can-shaped cylinder(21b) and a combining unit(21c) extended radially at one end of the cylinder. The support member has an insertion hole(22c) into which the cylinder is fitted.
