CONTROLLER FOR ROOT VEGETABLE CONVEYOR OF ROOT VEGETABLE HARVESTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more stabilize the start and stop control of a root vegetable conveyor mechanism. SOLUTION: The root vegetable conveyor mechanism 4 having a downslope toward a traveling direction is attached to the lower position of the undercarriage 2 of a root vegetable harvester 1. A shovel member 5 for digging root vegetables up is attached to the tip of the root vegetable conveyor mechanism 4. Colters 9 for forming cuts in the traveling direction on the field surface at both sides of a ridge are installed at both sides of the shovel member 5, respectively. A control mechanism 11 is arranged at a position laid between both the colters 9 ahead the shovel member 5. The control mechanism 11 is lifted and lowered in linking to the root vegetable conveyor mechanism 4. The control mechanism 11 is equipped with a detection rod that is brought into contact with the top of a root vegetable to detect the fall of the root vegetable conveyor mechanism 4.
