PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an apparatus and a method for generating an inkjet head driving waveform which generates various driving waveforms only by simple setting. SOLUTION: The apparatus for generating the inkjet head driving waveform includes a CPU 14 connected to a driving waveform generator circuit 15 to sequentially output addresses which store driving waveform data to a ROM 13 according to timing of an outputted DA clock signal. The ROM 13 sequentially inputs the driving waveform data to a DA 150 according to the address outputted from the CPU 14. As a result, an analog signal corresponding to the driving waveform is sent from the DA 150. A DA converter digital-to-analog converts the driving waveform digital data into an analog output, which is amplified by an amplifier circuit (AMP). The various driving waveform data can be provided with less driving waveform data by variably changing a timing clock for deciding the output timing of the DA 150 by a clock control circuit 151.
