PURPOSE: A method for certifying a subscriber receiving a service from a call center using an encrypted subscriber password is provided to prevent the password from exposure through wiretapping by communicating the subscriber password encrypted with a public encryption key randomly generated from a subscriber information database. CONSTITUTION: A counselor asks an ID to the subscriber(S20). The counselor inputs the ID to the subscriber information database(S22). The counselor transfers the public encryption key, which is provided to a monitor screen of the counselor by the subscriber information database, to the subscriber(S24). If the subscriber encrypts the password by using the public encryption key and transfers the encrypted password it to the counselor, the counselor inputs the encrypted password to the subscriber information database(S26). The subscriber information database decrypts/reads the encrypted password, compares it with the password stored in the subscriber information database, and informs the counselor of a result(S27).
