<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hazardous substance absorbing and removing agent capable of extremely highly effectively absorbing and removing the hazardous substance which is adhered to the food, etc., is contained therein, or exists in the digestive system, by directly contacting the agent with the food, etc., or directly administering the agent to the digestive system. <P>SOLUTION: This hazardous substance absorbing and removing agent is formed by dispersing active carbon having a particle diameter of 5 μm to 10 mm in a physiologically acceptable gel-like dispersion medium, such as Konjak (Amorphophallus konjac), in an amount of 0.02-90 wt%.
