PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a butt cap for a fishing rod, which is surely mounted on the rear end part of the fishing rod and is not readily removed. SOLUTION: This butt cap 20 is screwed into the rear end part of the fishing rod. The butt cap 20 is equipped with a butt cap body 21 and a sheet member 22. The butt cap body is cylindrically formed and a thin-walled ring member 28 is projected to the inside of the tip part 24 of the butt cap body. The sheet member 22 is formed in a disklike shape and inserted into the inside of the tip part 24. A peripheral groove 32 is formed on the peripheral surface of the sheet member 22 and the thin-walled ring member 28 is inserted into the peripheral groove 32.
