METHOD FOR TREATING FLEXIBLE URETHANE RESIN-CONTAINING WASTE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treatment by which a volume-reduced material of a flexible urethane resin-containing waste suitable for handling or transportation is obtained.

SOLUTION: The stable pasty volume-reduced material without separating into a liquid layer and a solid layer is obtained as follows. A decomposing agent is added to the flexible urethane resin-containing waste to initiate a decomposition reaction. The decomposition reaction is terminated in a stage of≤2 wt.% diamine concentration derived from an isocyanate in the flexible urethane resin.
