PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feed roller capable of conveying a sheet at a high accuracy and printing a high quality image, by stabilizing a sticking amount of a projection to the sheet even when towing and back feed of the sheet are repeated at a printing time. SOLUTION: The sheet feed roller 1 comprises a metal roller section 2 having a cylindrical outline, and a plurality of projections 4 projectedly formed on the circumferential surface of the roller section 2 in the circumferential direction and the axial direction. The tops of the projections 4 are sharpened in an acute angle, and the tops of mutually adjacent radial cut projection 5 and reverse cut projection 6 have mutually different angles in the axial direction of the arrow B.
