<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film/electrode junction for a solid polymer type fuel cell having a water-repellent carbon layer of a gas diffusion layer constituent member having high water repellency over a long time, and stably operating over a long time. <P>SOLUTION: This film/electrode junction for a solid polymer type fuel cell comprises: a cathode and an anode each having a catalyst layer and a gas diffusion layer adjacent to the catalyst layer; and an ion exchange film disposed adjacently to the catalyst layers of the anode and the cathode between the cathode and the anode. For at least one-side gas diffusion layer of the cathode and the anode, a gas diffusion layer composed by forming a water-repellent carbon layer comprising carbon black having a carbon hexagonal face-to-face distance of 0.3354-0.345 nm and a fluororesin on a gas diffusion layer substrate formed of a porous carbonaceous sheet is used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
