A dough mixer (24) individually prepares required dough from flour and other fresh ingredients. A preformer (28) shapes the fresh dough to a flat or preset dimensioned pizza base. Multiple dispensers (42,44,46) dispense metered toppings onto the pizza base. An oven bakes the pizza. A tray conveying system (38) transports the dough, the pizza base and the pizza through various processing stations. An Independent claim is included for automatic pizza preparation method.
