<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation method of a multicomponent type gas mixture and an apparatus for carrying out the method for isolating and recovering the respective components in the multicomponent type gas mixture by using an adsorption device comprising multilayered packed layers of a plurality of solid adsorbents having different adsorption characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The separation method of the multicomponent type gas mixture is carried out using an adsorption tower composed of adsorbent layers 11a, 11b, and 11c different in the adsorption characteristics and comprises the step of passing the multicomponent type gas mixture through the adsorbent layers 11a, 11b, and 11c for selectively adsorbing the respective components in the multicomponent type gas mixture. At the time of desorption, vacuum pumps 13a, 13b, and 13c and purge gases are used in combination and the switching time of adsorption/desorption is set to be 1 to 30 minutes to discharge the obtained purged gases separately to the outside of the system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
