PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device in which cost reduction, resource saving of a circuit are attained and the generation of electromagnetic waves is restrained by suppressing inrush current to a heater. SOLUTION: In the fixing device 10 having a heater with: a fixing rotator 18; a pressure rotator 19 coming in pressurized contact with the fixing rotator 18; and a heater 23 having a filament 29 which heats the fixing rotator, magnetic substances 30-1 to 30-3 are arranged in the vicinity of the heater 23. The vicinity of the heater is a position where a magnetic field of each magnetic material causes the filament 29 of the heater to generates electromotive force. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
