POWER SUPPLY INCLUDING SOFT FERRITE SATURABLE REACTOR FOR DELAYING VOLTAGE PULSE OF WINDING PART IN ELECTRIC ARC WELDING

PURPOSE: A power supply including a saturable reactor is provided to offer appropriate time to allow the clamping circuit of two switching circuits to properly control voltage at an input capacitor of two first circuits which are connected in series and to stabilize an input circuit of a transformer. CONSTITUTION: A power supply(A) for an electric arc welding includes an inverter having two first circuits(20,22) serially connected to both ends of a DC(Direct Current) bus of an input rectifier(10). Each first circuit includes a capacitor(32) and is placed parallel to a first winding part(40) and a switch(Q3) to apply voltage of the capacitor to both ends of the first winding part. The first circuit alternately generates voltage pulse to the first winding part to induce voltage pulse to a second circuit(B) having a second winding part(50). A soft ferrite saturable reactor is included in at least one of DC(Direct Current) circuit or an output circuit.
