PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing a tube with grooves on the inner surface with which the long tube with the grooves on the inner surface can be mass-produced at a low cost without developing any defect. SOLUTION: In the inner part of a flat-smooth tube 10, a floating plug 3 with grooves having a groove-forming part 4 formed with parallel grooves 4a to the tube axis at a prescribed interval on the outer peripheral surface is disposed, and matched to this floating plug 3 with the grooves, a die 2 rotation-driven at the drawing-work of the flat-smooth tube 10 is disposed on the outer part of the flat-smooth tube 10. The flat-smooth tube 10 is drawn while rotating the die 2, and the tube 11 with the grooves on the inner surface, formed with the parallel inner surface grooves 11a to the tube axis on the inner surface is obtained by performing the contraction-working to the flat-smooth tube 10 and the grooving working for forming the inner surface grooves.
