PURPOSE: A display device having an image pickup function and a bidirectional communication system are provided to simultaneously pick up an image of a user as an object and display the image without degrading image quality. CONSTITUTION: Light emitting pixels having light transmitting property are arranged in a display panel(10). An image pickup device(11) is arranged on one side of the display panel. The image pickup device picks up an image of an object(13) through the display panel. Electric field light emission occurs in the light emitting pixels. A display device performs the first correction and the second correction. The deviation of a color and a luminance of an image is corrected according to a transmissivity of the display panel in the first correction. Dazzlement generated by light reflected on the display panel is removed from the image in the second correction.
