The invention relates to a gear configuration, in particular a superposition gear unit with a gear input (2) and a gear output (3); with two superposition gears (11, 6) which are designed as three-shaft planetary gears (31, 32), comprising in each case a sun wheel (31.1, 32.1), an ring gear (31.2, 32.2), a bar (31.4, 32.4) and planet wheels (31.3, 32.3), whereby the individual shafts are formed in each case by the sun wheels (31.1, 32.1), the ring gears (31.2, 32.2) and the bars (31.4, 32.4) or the elements which are connected with them secured against torsion-a first superposition gear (11) and a second superposition gear (6), which are coupled with one another to a four-shaft planetary gear (58); a first shaft (52) of the first superposition gear (11) and a first shaft (55) of the second superposition gear (6) are connected secured against torsion with the gear input (2); a second shaft (53) of the first superposition gear (11) and a second shaft (56) of the second superposition gear (6) are connected secured against torsion with the gear output (3); an infinitely variable change-speed gear (8) in form of a traction mechanism gear (27) is arranged between the third shafts (54, 57) of the first and second superposition gear (11, 6); with means (40) for controlling the speed ratio at the traction mechanism gear (27); one of the two superposition gears-first superposition gear (11) or second superposition gear (6)-comprises in each case planet wheels (31.31, 32.32, 32.31, 32.32) meshing in pairs with one another, whereby the first of the planet wheels (32.32, 31.32) meshing in pairs with one another meshes in each case directly with the ring gear (32.2, 31.2) and the second planet wheel (32.31, 31.31), whereby in each case the other planet wheel (32.31, 32.31) is meshing with the first planet wheel (32.32, 31.32) and the sun wheel (32.1, 31.1).
