PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically measuring the size of a slab is provided to prevent productivity degradation and an appointed data delay by preventing an occurrence of an abnormal weight of the slab. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for automatically measuring the size of the slab includes a width measuring part and a length measuring part(30). The width measuring pat includes a rack gear installed at a lower part of a positioner, a pinion gear coupled with the rack gear, and a width measuring sensor fixed to a shaft of the pinion gear. The length measuring part(30) includes a pair of rollers(32) coupled with a driving shaft(31), a chain gear(33) coupled with the driving shaft(31) between the rollers(32), an impact buffer(34), an moving plate(40) fixed to both sides of a base(37b), an upper part guide roller and a lower part guide roller capable of moving according to a fixture plate(42), and a supporting base supported by a rod of an air cylinder installed at the lower part of the base(37b).
