PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a petri dish which prevents the mismatch of a lid with a dish to largely improve workability. SOLUTION: This petri dish comprises a circular flat bottom dish 10 and a circular lid for covering the dish 10. The dish 10 has an outer peripheral wall 11, and a hinge portion 30 is disposed on the outer peripheral wall 11. The lid 20 has an outer peripheral wall 21, and a hinge portion 40 is disposed on the outer peripheral wall 21. The hinge portions 30, 40 have grooves 31, 41 for fitting a joint member 50 having stoppers 51 into both the ends. The lid 20 covers the dish 10 so that the hinge portion 30 matches with the hinge portion 40, and a joint member 50 is fit into the grooves 31, 42 to openably integrate the dish 20 with the lid 20.
