Method and apparatus for selecting and/or changing the display resolution of HTML home pages in a web application development environment

An apparatus for and method of utilizing an Internet terminal coupled to the world wide web to interface with an existing proprietary data base management system through a user interface which permits access to an application service by presentation of one of a plurality of display pages which differ from one another only in resolution. The use of one of a plurality of nearly identical display pages offers a highly efficient way of optimizing the user interface from one work station to another.
