<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical signal generator capable of freely adjusting the number of chips and an interval between chips with a simple onfiguration even when the number of chips N of a diffusion signal to be used for a CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) system is large. <P>SOLUTION: The optical signal generator can output a modulated optical pulse. The device is equipped with (1) a first optical system for inputting "a first optical pulse string" having a predetermined "first pulse interval" reflecting the respective optical pulses for the predetermined number of times, transmitting part of optical energy in reflecting incident optical pulses, and outputting a plurality of optical pulses to be "second optical pulse string" to one of the inputted optical pulses; (2) a second optical system for modulating the optical pulses outputted by the first optical system; and (3) a third optical system for fetching the optical pulses outputted by the second optical system and generating "a third optical pulse string". <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
