PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an over-tube for an endoscope capable of discharging air through an inner cavity of the over-tube when the inside of the intestinal tract is in the excessive air-supplied state, reducing a burden on a patient, and improving the easiness of insertion of the over-tube and an insertion part of the endoscope. SOLUTION: The subject endoscope system has the over-tube 11 for the endoscope, externally fitted onto the insertion part 2 of the endoscope 1 from outside for inserting/guiding the insertion part 2 into a celom. An elastically deformable hood 19 and a balloon 13 are disposed on the distal end of an over-tube body 12.
