PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellular telephone by which registered personal information is simply safely read, and convenience is enhanced. SOLUTION: Determination is made whether or not received mail has a password formed by combining a previously registered identification symbol with previously registered letters, and the like. When the password is found, the telephone directory of a database is retrieved by using a character string except the password contained in the received mail. Now, when a telephone number corresponding to the character string is found on the telephone directory, the corresponding telephone number is returned by mail to a transmission origin.
