<p>A method of crop protection capable of reducing the use of synthetic agricultural chemicals so as to ensure environmental protection. In particular, an antibacterial antiviral composition comprising laccase or cells of a microbe capable of producing laccase or a product of treatment thereof and at least one phenol derivative of the following general formula (I) or a salt thereof. Further, there are provided, comprising the composition, a plant disease controlling agent, a seed disinfectant, a postharvest agent and a nutritious liquid sterilizer. Still further, there are provided, characterized by the use of these, a method of controlling plant diseases, a method of seed disinfection, a method of postharvest treatment and a method of nutritious liquid sterilization in tank farming or solid culture medium farming. (wherein each of R1 to R5 independently is hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl, C2-C6 alkenyl, C1-C6 alkoxy, C6-C20 (nucleus) aryl, C1-C10 carboxyl, C1-C10 carbonyl or halogen atom provided that at least one of R1 to R5 is C1-C10 alkenyl).</p> |
