<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a driver to drive more safely in consideration of an installation position of an image input device disposed in a drive controller of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: This drive controller has a face orientation determining device 26 that recognizes the face of the driver 13 sitting on the driver's seat with a face recognizing device 23 for recognizing the face of the driver 13 acquired by an image pick-up camera (driver image data acquiring means) 21 installed in the vehicle, and determines the face orientation. This drive controller has a vehicle driving device 18 that is enabled to start when a vehicle control system 12 receives a start permitting signal h1 of a vehicle driving device. This signal is outputted from the face orientation determining device 26 when face image data previously storing the face of the driver 13 and the face image data of the driver 13 acquired by the image pick-up camera 21 are compared, collated, and matched with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
