PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing structure of a horizontal member capable of forming a passing-through passage without incurring the deterioration of strength to the woody horizontal member. SOLUTION: The passing-through passage 12 is formed in the shape of a tunnel in the direction intersecting in the longitudinal direction of a beam 11, and a pipe body 17 is placed in the passing-through passage 12. A reinforcing plate 18 is fixed to the circumferential surface of the beam 11 including two opening sections 13 of the passing-through passage so as to seal the end section of a gap formed between the passing-through passage 12 and the pipe body 17 and, at the same time, when the reinforcing plate 18 is fixed, a through-hole for piping/wiring formed in the reinforcing plate is so placed that it is faced on the inside of an opening section of the pipe body.
