PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove organic material in water by efficiently decomposing the organic material by catalytic oxidation. SOLUTION: The organic material is decomposed and removed by allowing the organic material-containing water to contact with a metal carrying catalyst using calcium phosphate as carrier in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. Thereafter, the treated organic material-containing water is allowed to contact with hydroxy apatite and, thereby, the remaining organic material is adsorbed and removed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
