PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel information acquisition system wherein wheel information such as internal pressure is transmitted from a transmitter mounted on a wheel of a vehicle with set identification information and received by a receiver, capable of surely identifying the mounting position of a wheel with the wheel information received by the receiver and having excellent durability, and to provide a mounting position information setting device for a wheel to realize it. SOLUTION: In a tire internal-pressure monitoring system 10, a setting device 60 transmits an ID to the transmitter 16a by radio to set, transmits the ID and the mounting position information of the wheel separately set and inputted to the receiver on radio to match the ID and the mounting position and the result of this matching is set and registered.
