摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of problem on quality that the plate thickness of a material to be rolled deviates, after rolling, from the desired range of values, and to prevent the occurrence of such problems on plate passing that a material to be rolled, which is under tandem rolling in a finish rolling mill, hangs loose and folds between stands to cause the discontinuance of rolling and the breakage of the material to be rolled, by conducting a precise calculation for predicting a thermal crown of the work roll of the finish rolling mill. <P>SOLUTION: When predicting the thermal crown of the work roll for hot finish rolling during the operation of hot rolling, one or more out of the density, the specific heat, the thermal conductivity, and the linear expansion coefficient of each work roll are reflected on a predicting formula for the thermal crown. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
