<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for sound field control information distribution, and a method and a system for sound field control that distribute contents and also perform sound field control in sound environment at a content distribution destination, and contribute to realization of custom-made content distribution. <P>SOLUTION: Sound field control information is distributed to a client terminal equipped with a reproducing device which outputs a reproduced sound of audiovisual contents to a content reproducing speaker arranged in a 1st sound field control space and also outputs a control sound based upon sound field control information to a control speaker arranged in a 2nd sound field control space in synchronism with the audiovisual contents. Sound field information of the 1st sound field control space and 2nd sound field control space generated by the client terminal is received first and a spatial transfer function on which sound field characteristics of the 1st sound field control space and 2nd sound field control space are reflected is identified according to the sound field information received from the client terminal.
