PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid risk caused by flexibility of a starting program even if adopting a flexible program as the starting program, in a main board 1 wherein a CPU 2 executes the starting program stored in a memory 5 to start up by initially accessing the predetermined nonvolatile memory 5 at the time of starting. SOLUTION: This information processor is provided with an expanded memory connector 7 and a starting ROM selection circuit 8. The starting ROM selection circuit 8 gives a chip selection signal CS1 for a boot ROM to the flash memory 5 to start the flash memory 5 when a normal memory board 11 is mounted to the expanded memory connector 7, and gives the chip selection signal CS1 to a starting memory 22 to start the starting memory 22 when a starting memory board is mounted. Accordingly, even if the memory 5 is the flexible and rewritable flash memory, the certain starting can be executed to a defect of the starter program. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
