PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximize the C/N ratio of a diversity synthesized signal without being influenced by variations in ambient conditions. SOLUTION: A diversity reception device includes: a plurality of antennas 1, 3; a plurality of receiver circuits 2, 4 respectively connected to the corresponding antennas; an adder 8 for adding the received signals outputted from the receiver circuits 2, 4; phase shifters 7, 10 for bringing the phases of the received signals given to the adder 8 into an in-phase state with each other; a level comparator unit 11 for comparing the levels of the received signals outputted from the receiver circuits 2, 4; level variable units 6, 9 interposed between each of the receiver circuits 2, 4 and the adder 8 and controlled by the level comparator unit 11. The level variable units 6, 9 relatively attenuate the other received signal than that with a maximum level in proportion to the level difference between the other received signal and the received signal with the maximum level and give the attenuated level to the adder 8.
