The device uses the generation information for a number of pages (10A,..10E) of the memory for identifying a memory page with an inconsistency, with selection of a further memory page which is marked before read-out of data from the marked page and write in of the read data and new generation data in the identified page. Also included are Independent claims for the following: (a) a memory provided with an incomplete write-in or erasure condition handling device; (b) a method for handling an incomplete write-in or erasure condition of a memory; (c) a computer program for handling an incomplete write-in or erasure condition in a memory.
