<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display selection device that indicates what functions are being selected in an easily recognizable manner. <P>SOLUTION: An icon to indicate a function presently selected is displayed in animation in the center of a screen, and on either side of the icon, a part of an icon only to indicate what function can be selected next is displayed in a static manner in a size smaller than the icon in the center, which makes the presently selected icon easily recognizable.
