OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium of dual layers using dye recording layers and capable of recording the data of large capacity, and to provide a method of manufacturing the optical recording medium by which the optical recording medium can be stably manufactured.

SOLUTION: The optical recording medium 100 is provided with: a first substrate 101 made of polycarbonate; first and second recording layers 102 and 105 which contain metal-containing azo dye; and a first translucent reflection layer 103 showing ≥40% light transmittance and an intermediate layer 104 consisting of a UV curing resin having 45 to 95°C glass transition temperature and ≤15% curing shrinkage rate which are formed between the first and the second recording layer 102 and 105. In a step for forming the second recording layer 105, heat treatment is performed at a temperature or above of the glass transition temperature of the resin which constitutes the intermediate layer 104.
