<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inter-language associating device and method and its program for efficiently and highly precisely executing inter-language association based on similarity on language. <P>SOLUTION: This inter-language associating device for associating first language documents corresponding to second language documents from a plurality of first language documents being association candidates is provided with a word appearance position information generating part for generating word appearance position information included in the plurality of first language documents, a character appearance position information generating part for generating character appearance position information from the word appearance position information acquired from the word appearance position information generating part and an optimal document selecting part for selecting and associating the first language documents based on the word appearance position information and the character appearance position information concerning the inputted second language documents. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
