<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress decomposition of electrolyte solvent for a secondary battery, to increase cycle life of the secondary battery, to suppress resistance increase of the secondary battery, and to increase capacity maintenance rate of the secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: An electrolyte 15 containing an aprotic organic solvent and a compound represented by formula 1 is used.
