A miniature iron, size 70 x 40 mm, with a separate heating device for use with any heating medium and an iron protection pocket made of paper of plastic film. The iron has provision for heating with a spirit burner and for electrical heating with a small hotplate. An independent claim is included for a heating device made from a single piece of metal e.g. steel, brass, copper or Al alloy.
