PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which prevents input means, provided on the front or/and peripheral edge sides of a display unit, from being misoperated. SOLUTION: The display unit 1 is supported on a stand 2 and an input means for input for changing a display image displayed on the display surface S of the display unit 1 through a control unit 15 is provided on one or both of sides of the display surface S and peripheral edge 4 of the display unit 1; and a guard 31 for misoperation prevention of the input means is provided by projecting so as to leave a specified gap with the front side of the display unit 1, the upper-end height of the guard 31 is set without blocking the view of a user for the display screen S when the user views the display surface S from the front.
