PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high speed ID-less collation method and system capable of executing high speed ID-less collation while maintaining reliability in conventional round-robin collation. SOLUTION: Biological information for rough collation and biological information for detailed collation are registered in a biological information storage part 121 for rough collation and a biological information storage part 124 for detailed collation. In identification, the biological information for rough collation and the biological information for detailed collation are prepared from biological information inputted for identification by a user by a biological information for rough collation extracting part 122 and a biological information for detailed collation extracting part 123, and the preliminarily registered biological information for rough collation is collated with the biological information for rough collation prepared for identification by a rough collating part 125 so that only the similar biological information for rough collation can be narrowed down. Then, the registered biological information for detailed collation connected with the biological information for rough collation narrowed down by a detailed collating part 126 is collated with the biological information for detailed collation prepared for identification, and the biological information whose matching level is the highest is decided as a principal.
