PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a image display device having structure for efficiently cooling exhaust air discharged after passing through a heat source and also cooling it without affecting a projected image. SOLUTION: The image display device has a light source 220, a 1st cooling means 410 cooling the light source 220, a projected image forming means 340 forming a video by light from the light source 220, a projection lens 360 projecting the video, a case body 200 in which the light source 220, the projected image forming means 340, and the projection lens 360 are housed, and a 2nd cooling means 430 provided in the body 100 and making air blow in a direction where it goes away from a projecting direction to the exhaust air passing through the light source 220 by the 1st cooling means 410.
