METHOD OF MANUFACTURING MOLDED BODY FOR VEHICLE BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a molded body for a vehicle body capable of securing the strength/rigidity of the molded body for the vehicle body and securing the corrosiveness of the mating surface of a flange part in the molded body for the vehicle body. SOLUTION: Before assembled plate materials 4 are welded to the flange parts 5 to assemble the molded body for the vehicle body, a plating layer 3 is formed on the inner surface of the welded flange part 5 of at least one of the plurality of assembled plate materials 4 to secure a corrosive resistance between the flange parts 5 by the plating layer 3. Then the strength/rigidity of the molded body 6 for the vehicle body can be secured by nitriding the molded body 6 for the vehicle body. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
