Evaluation logic circuitry (I) starts a selection assistance mode which divides a time range into equidistant time segments, and selects at random one of these segments as an active range for receiving a transmitter identification number (H). The circuitry indicates this active time segment by a rotation of the motor (A), and when a control pushbutton (G) is operated at the transmitter (C), it inputs the transmitter's identification number (H) into its data memory (EEPROM).
