PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for calculating the capacity of a motor, capable of stirring a wet particulate material even if the amount ratio of a solvent to the particulate material or the volume ratio of the particulate material to the volume of the bottom part of a stirring tank varies. SOLUTION: The stirring of the particulate material includes a process (a) for changing the amount of the particulate material using a stirring tank different from a predetermined stirring tank in the capacity of a motor and size to calculate the occupying ratio of the particulate material with respect to the bottom part of the stirring tank, a process (b) for changing the amount of the solvent to calculate the concentration of the particulate material in the stirring tank, a process (c) for preparing a line L1 from the occupying ratio and the concentration with respect to a condition enabling uniform stirring, a process (d) for calculating the relation between the capacity of the motor of the stirring tank and the sum amount of the particulate material and the solvent, a process (e) for preparing a line L2 from the capacity of the motor and the sum total amount of the particulate material and the solvent and a process (f) for calculating the capacity of the motor possible to stir from the amounts of the particulate material and solvent charged in the predetermined stirring tank on the basis of the line L2.
