PURPOSE:To reproduce a stereoscopic video and an ordinary plane video by one disk by recording picture information for the right eye and the left eye on an odd number (or even number) and an even number (or odd number) tracks, respectively. CONSTITUTION:In a video disk 50, the picture information for the right eye is recorded on the odd number track and the picture information for the left eye is recorded on the even number track. During the reproduction of the stereoscopic video, the tracking reproduction is alternately performed at every field in the sequence of R1, L2, R3, L4... of the odd number and the even number tracks of the video disk 50 by a video disk reproducing device 51, thereby, field picture information signals for the right eye and the left eye are alternately generated. At the same time, a tracking synchronizing signal is generated, thereby, a switch 55 is switched so as to open the window for the left eye and close the window 54 for the right eye during the generation of the picture signal for the left eye and open the window 54 for the right eye and close the window 53 for the left eye during the generation of the picture signal for the right eye. |
